Tour the jewelry/sculpture studio of artist John Wind and home of the Dina Wind Art Foundation. Housed in a historic firehouse stable, this South Philly gem was renovated by Eberlein Design & Cano Architects and recognized as a Grand Jury Winner in the Philadelphia Preservation Alliance's 2022 Preservation Achievement Awards. Complete the experience with a glass of wine served on the sculpture deck with Center City and South Philly views. //John Wind is a mixed media artist creating narrative portraits, assemblages and installations. He is also designer of John Wind Jewelry, known for 'Modern Vintage' fashion jewelry and gifts. His work is in the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, the Musée des Arts Decoratifs, Paris, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.His mother, Dina Wind (1938-2014) was a trailblazing artist and arts advocate whose bold, abstract sculptures challenged stereotypes and embraced sustainability. Inspired by her legacy, the Dina Wind Art Foundation empowers women artists, builds community, and supports arts education.
